Community Café

This community café was part of the wider climbing centre project, it was designed as a space where people can spend time as a family with views over the adjoining climbing, skating and play areas. It also has space for those who are alone to sit and relax or work while enjoying the good food and good coffee!

We designed and built the external furniture and the reception desk/café servery while working with the charity to source second-hand furniture for the remainder of the spaces.

A modern café interior welcomes the Chippenham climbing community with a counter displaying snacks, a coffee machine, and a menu board. Bar stools line large windows, whilst orange chairs around tables offer relaxing spots near the glass door.
A modern outdoor seating area with wooden benches and tables on a decking outside the Chippenham Climbing Community Café, featuring a clear roof and large glass doors. The setting is clean, minimalistic, and perfect for relaxing after a climb.
Close-up of several steps on a staircase made of evenly spaced, horizontal wooden slats with visible wood grain at the Chippenham Climbing Community Café. Gaps between the slats allow light to pass through as metal supports are seen beneath. Viewed from the bottom, looking up.
Rectangular wooden picnic tables with metal frames line the wooden decking at the Chippenham Climbing Community Café. Sunlight casts shadows while a wooden fence and vertical-sided building complete this inviting outdoor seating area.
A modern, open-plan café with white walls, wood accents, and exposed ceilings. There are orange mesh chairs, wooden tables, recycling bins, and large windows revealing a grassy outdoor area. The space feels bright and airy with natural light.
