Union Road Development

Union Road is the home of Artel31. This historic brewery warehouse,  most recently a car garage, had lain vacant for almost 10 years before we acquired it in 2021.

The redevelopment was not just about preserving the Victorian charm but also about injecting new life into the community, blending historical architecture with modern utility and commerce.

Stage 1 of the office conversion involved first stripping back the previous work to expose the historic building, we then converted the upper two floors of Number 5 to offices.

Stage 2 is now complete with the conversion of the old forecourt into public realm with a biodiverse landscaping scheme and commercial units of varying sizes including Cousin Norman’s cafe and the Bunkhouse soul food container.

Number 7 is next on the list for development.
